June Lockhart (Susannah Wesley), is a television and film legend. growing up in the industry, Lockhart made her film debut opposite her parents in a film version of A Christmas Carol in 1938 at the age of eight. She also played supporting parts in films including Meet Me in St. Louis with Judy Garland, Sergeant York, All This, and Heaven Too and The Yearling. She starred in She-Wolf of London (1946). For an entire generation she was the quintessential “TV mom” from her roles in the series Lassie and Lost in Space. Ms. Lockhart brings her enormous strength of performance to the role of John and Charles’ mother. Susannah played a pivotal role in shaping the spiritual lives of both John and Charles Wesley, and is often regarded as an example of strong spiritual motherhood during a period not always friendly to strong women. “We were overjoyed to have June in the movie,” said director John Jackman. “She was a delight to work with. Her personality and tremendous acting experience brought depth to the important role of Susannah.”
June is a self-avowed “news hound” and loves to stay up-to-date. She is an avid supporter of NASA and the US Space program. She just celebrated her 94th birthday.
